On Sept 11th, Business School held 2010 Freshmen Orientation Ceremony and the 99th Economic Forum in the Science Lecture Hall. Dean Xu Zongling, all undergraduate and postgraduate freshmen and the staff of Business School attended the event. Famous political commentator Yang Jinlin from Hong Kong Phoenix TV had a speech in the 99th Economic Forum. Vice Presidents of Shantou University, Prof. Wang Weilian and Prof. Lin Danming were also invited to join the event.
Dean Xu Zongling gave a warm welcome speech to the all freshmen, and introduced the history, training mission, development target and faculty of Business School.
Associate Professor Wang Yi shared her ideas with the audience as a teacher representative on “who am I?” and “Where am I going?” . The student representatives of undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA program also made speeches in the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the 99th Economic Forum was held. Famous political commentator Yang Jinlin from Hong Kong Phoenix TV shared his working experiences and thinking with the students with the title of “From Reading Newspapers to Walking Observation——Read a Real China”. He talked about the production processes of his two programs, and shared his deep observation and insight to Chinese society as a media worker.
